Who Are We?
George Hajipetrou, well known figure in the iPhone Repair Industry and creator of gTool established the business in 2008 under the name gMobile. George was recognized for his no nonsense approach, technical expertise and speed of repair. He established a loyal following and Jo’burg and those who knew him would trust him to repair their devices and nobody else.
In November 2014, the repair business was sold by George to Ian and Vincent, two partners who saw great potential in George’s efficient and professional approach to repairs and desired to expand the business.
The partners did their apprenticeship under George’s watchful eye and began repairing phones under the new banner of iMobile Repair Centre, in November 2014.
George now devotes his time exclusively to his gTool business, which creates high quality bespoke tools for the worldwide Apple repair industry.
Two years on and in addition to iPhone repair, the business has expanded to include the repair of iPads, iPods, iWatches & Apple TV’s.
As the name, iMobile suggests, our focus is on the repair of your Apple iDevices.
